Agenda Items:
The new Huntington Woods Homeowners Association Board of Directors consists of the following members: Tim Isle, Terry Davies, Jon Peterson, Mike Latz, Chris Caniff, Janet Baker, Holger Tank, and Tom Longest.
Jim O’Connor resigned from the Board of Directors.
The
following officers were elected at the inaugural board meeting:
President: Jon Peterson
Vice
President: Tim Isle
Secretary: Holger Tank
Treasurer: Chris Caniff
Architectural
Review Committee: Tim Isle, Tom
Longest, Mike Latz
It
was agreed at the meeting that all members of the board would assist the
elected officers in their duties. Contact details for all board members are
attached (please check for correctness).
Neighborhood
Lights:
Should
be individual homeowner’s responsibility to call Boone REMC for repair of
streetlights. This will be communicated in the next newsletter.
Response
to Suggestions / Complaints:
No
anonymous complaints will be accepted. Complaints of obscene nature or
containing inappropriate language will be handed over to the police department.
Complaints should be filed on a complaint form (to be designed). Tom and Holger
will look at the possibility of setting up a Huntington Woods web page that
includes general information as well as a link to a complaint form.
Hiring
of Subcontractors:
Chris
will contact Revel & Underwood to obtain current contracts. Tim will
contact Mike Lombard for any copies he may have. Tim, Tom and Terry took on the
task to start preparing a general scope for landscaping contracts and obtain
quotes.
Insurance,
Taxes etc.:
Chris
to contact Revel & Underwood for information on insurance policies, taxes
etc.
Newsletter:
Janet
has volunteered to put together a Huntington Woods Newsletter, to be published
quarterly. First newsletter will be published after our January meeting.
Newsletter will contain general information (i.e. streetlights (see above),
speed limit within subdivision, board initiatives and architectural review) as
well as information from the board meetings.
Architectural
Review:
Tim
Isle, Tom Longest and Mike Latz form the new architectural review committee.
First action was to approve plans for a house addition within the subdivision.
Meeting
Minutes:
Minutes
of board meetings will be communicated to the board members and in the
quarterly newsletter as appropriate.
Other:
Access
to Huntington Woods checking account: Tim to talk to Mike Lombard.
Mike
Latz to discuss with town planning regarding the status of the roads within the
subdivision and legality of placing road signs (Stop / Yield) and speed limits.
Board
agreed to cancel management contract with Revel & Underwood as soon as a
new accountant has been identified.
Board meetings will be held monthly at the first weekend of the month. Community meetings will be held twice a year, in March and October.
The
next board meeting will be held on Sunday,
January 5th, 1 pm, at 1172 Huntington Woods Point (please
note change from Saturday to Sunday).
Deferred until board has a clear understanding of available finances and prepared a budget for 2003.
