Michael
L. Thayer (Certified Public Accountant, Phone # 317 280-9469) has been hired as
an accountant for the Huntington Woods Homeowners Association at an hourly rate
of $40.
Chris
is contacting the old Huntington Woods Homeowners Association board member for
a response to the letter from Revel & Underwood, especially with regards to
the statements from Revel & Underwood concerning the landscaping contract
and the lockbox arrangement.
Quote
from Brickman Group based on the scope of the current contract is still the
best bit (approx. $11,000 versus last year’s actual cost of $14,784). Tim will
try to obtain some additional quotes, so that a decision can be made by March
1.
Board
approved to change insurance to Lowder Insurance Agency, Agent Rob Barker. Jon
will contact Rob Barker to initiate changeover.
Janet
presented a draft of the Huntington Woods Newsletter and a new complaint form
for homeowners. The newsletter together with a copy of the complaint form and
an architectural review form will be mailed out with the next association fee
statement in mid March.
Mike
will send a copy of a draft architectural review form to Janet.
Tom
presented the new Huntington-Woods website (http://www.huntington-woods.com). The content of
the website was reviewed. It was suggested to remove the birth dates of
children currently listed in the resident directory. To log in as a board
member use Username: **** and password: ****, to log in as a resident use

Once
the website goes online the proposal is to use the resident’s last name as the
username and the last name plus street number as the password (e.g. Longest and
Longest1171)

Mike
Latz talked to the Zionsville town planner, Ed Mitro, regarding installation of
traffic control devices at the entrance of the subdivision. Mr. Mitro is
familiar with the subdivision and felt that some traffic control would be
appropriate at the ‘T’ intersection. However, his department does not handle
such issues. This matter would be handled through the street department (Street
Superintendent Lance Lantz). It would take an ordinance passed by the Town Council
to install traffic control devices. Mike will talk to Lance Lantz regarding
making such a request to the Town Council.
Jon proposed to remove the ‘No Soliciting’ sign at the entrance to the subdivision and replace it with a new more attractive and more visible sign. Approved by the Board.
Tim Isle received a
complaint from a resident regarding old tires stored in trees and shrubs in a
near by lot. Tim will follow up with the owner.
